Two Individuals Arrested for Human Trafficking

14.04.2026

As a result of operational measures conducted by the Main Department on Combating Trafficking in Human Beings at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, two individuals identified as 28-year-old E.Q. and 27-year-old X.H. have been arrested on charges of human trafficking.

E.Q. is accused of committing human trafficking by subjecting female citizens to sexual exploitation. The individual deceived the victims under the pretext of providing employment and transported them to the Republic of Türkiye. Subsequently, the victims were held under control through threats and coercion, their national passports were confiscated, and they were subjected to sexual exploitation for financial gain.

The second individual, X.H., entered into a criminal conspiracy with foreign nationals, whose identities are currently under investigation, to involve women in prostitution for profit. When the victims attempted to withdraw from this scheme, X.H. subjected them to continued sexual exploitation by threatening to disseminate defamatory photographs and information. Investigations further established that X.H. transferred a portion of the illicit proceeds via cryptocurrency to members of a transnational organized criminal group located abroad.

Based on the evidence collected, E.Q. and X.H. were charged as accused persons. By court order, a preventive measure of detention for a period of four months has been imposed on them.

We once again appeal to the public: victims of human trafficking may contact the Main Department on Combating Trafficking in Human Beings at the Ministry of Internal Affairs or the “152” Hotline. The confidentiality of applicants is fully ensured.
